    Executive Summary
    The Virginia Business-Education Partnership (VBEP) strives to improve Virginia's public schools by expanding business participation and involvement in public education, and by promoting the formation of partnerships among businesses, civic groups, churches, parents, other community organizations, and public schools. With the guidance of a 20-member Advisory Council, VBEP actively promotes the development of successful business-education partnerships and recognizes outstanding partnerships and outstanding education reformers that are producing results which have a real, positive impact on student academic achievement. VBEP also builds business-education partnerships and promotes increased academic achievement through VBEP's oversight of the Virginia School-to-Work Initiative.
