Explanation:
(This amendment provides $453,960 GF each year and $2.4 million NGF each year to restore funding to local Departments of Social Services for "other purchase of services", flexible funding that can be used to resolve crisis situations. Funding is requested to restore 50 percent of the reduction taken in FY 2011 and FY 2012. The restored funding will be used to meet the increased demand for public service in focusing on self-support and self-sufficiency of prisoners re-entering our communities, strengthening families requiring stabilization, and the reinstatement of senior and adult services. This appropriation requires a 20 percent local match.) |
