Explanation:
(This amendment provides additional funding of $1.7 million GF in FY 2012 for the two-year transfer grant program. The Virginia Community College System anticipates enrollment growth in the program for FY 2012, creating need of $750,000. The additional funding of $950,000 would be used to enhance the amount of the award by $500 and increase the number of students eligible for the grant by raising the maximum Expected Family Contribution to $12,000. This is a companion budget amendment to SB 1363.)
