“b. INFRASTRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: All consultants, independent contractors, subcontractors, and employees hired to work on infrastructure or other construction projects supported by federal funds during the period between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2010, will be citizens or legal residents of the United States. All entities receiving federal funds for the execution of construction projects, including contractors and subcontractors, must verify that all persons receiving funds in regard to federally funded projects are citizens or legal residents of the United States through use of the “E-Verify” system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.” |
