Explanation:
(This amendment provides positions in the position count table to support 13 additional regional jail officers, two additional cooks, and one additional medical position required for an expansion of the Halifax facility of the Blue Ridge Regional Jail. Staffing is based upon a review and recommendation by the Department of Corrections for the opening of the new capacity on November 1, 2009. A companion amendment to Item 76 provides the funding for these positions.)
