Explanation:
(This amendment provides $400,000 GF to the Virginia Wine Board. The Board receives a general fund appropriation based on the amount of taxes collected by ABC from the sale of Virginia wines. The 2006 amount of tax collections was $656,000. The appropriations are used to market Virginia wines and to support research. A companion amendment increases the transfer of general fund revenue to the Agriculture Department for this purpose.)
